I visited the National Aquarium in Baltimore, MD several years ago. My aunt is part of the dive team there, so we spent a day there while she worked and I explored. It was incredible! I walked around for hours.
It was really special for me to see my aunt dive and feed the fish. As soon as the little kids saw her, they all flocked to the clear glass walls to watch her and the fish. After, I saw the octopus habitat. It was the first time I had seen their camouflage skills, and I became obsessed with octopuses. After my aunt's dive and docent work were done for the day, we spent time in the break room with her colleagues. I got to meet so many interesting people that day, from other divers to docents to the aquarium's management.
I wanted to create a logo unique to them that represents my love for the aquarium and its marine life. I took inspiration from the beautiful octopus that I encountered during my first visit. She has unfortunately passed away since, but I remember her vividly.
